The X-Terminator 2 RTR Nitro Buggy features front, centre and rear bevel gear differentials that each feature O-Ring seals and

cup-style housings. All three differentials are packed with differential grease that is good for most driving conditions. You can make

Front and Rear Differentials: Adding heavier silicone oil will tighten the differentials and adding lighter silicone oil will loosen the

Centre Differential: For the centre differential, using a lighter weight oil will cause the differential to unload easier. Generally, this





suggest using heavier oil if you are driving on a high-traction surface.

For general use, we recommend using XTM Racing 30K oil in the front, 50K in the centre and 10K in the rear.

❑ Remove the upper hinge pins, then remove the screws that hold the upper hinge

pin support plate in place. Remove the upper and lower hinge pin support plates.

❑ Pull the front half of the differential case straight out, then remove the hinge pins

and drop the lower suspension arms and pull the differential assembly straight out.

❑ Remove the screws from the bottom of the chassis that hold the front bumper and

the differential assembly in place.

and remove the two screws from inside the bumper, then remove the bumper.

❑ Remove the four screws that hold the differential housing together, then pull the

differential housing apart and pull the differential assembly out of the differential housing,

making sure to leave the pinion gear in place.

❑ You can now disassemble the differential, clean away all of the grease, reassemble

For your convenience, we show you how to remove and disassemble the front differential. Removing and disassembling the centre

and rear differential is similar.

Please refer to the differential assembly drawing on page 25 for a detailed break-down of the differential

assembly.

❑ Push one ball bearing onto the differential cup.

❑ Push the output joint into the differential cup, then push one small pin into the hole in the output joint, making sure that the pin is centred. Install the pin through the

hole in the side of the differential cup (A).

❑ Press a second large bevel gear into the differential cup, making sure that the gears mesh with each other, then carefully place a gasket onto the differential cup (C).
